Dear our peace-loving friends and organizations,
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all of you for the support you have shown to the Article 9 forever renouncing war in the Japanese constitution and our campaign .
On October 9th the Norwegian Nobel Committee announced its decision of awarding the 2015 Nobel Peace Prize to the Tunisian National Dialogue Quartet for its decisive contribution to the building of a pluralistic democracy. We would like to express hearty respect and congratulations to four organizations of the Quartet
To our regret, our campaign for awarding Nobel Peace Prize to Article 9 of the Japanese Constitution has missed its winning, but we extend our cordial gratitude to the persons who have cooperated in collecting as many as 693,951 signatures (as of that day), persons who recommended an awarding our campaign to the prize around the world, and all persons who supported from all over the world.
The Constitution has been in crisis, but it is unchanged and the supreme law of the state.
In order to let Article 9 shine in the turbulent world, we are determined to continue the mission of signature-collecting movement for the article to the prize.
At the same time, we will exert our utmost efforts through non-violent methods such as public elections and lawsuits in order to prevent Japan from paving the way toward war.
Let us create a war-free world voicing in unison our opinions for peace over the entire world.
